Clothing & Shoe Requirements
All Drivers must wear closed toed shoes, and we recommend athletic shoes for comfort.
We provide all drivers necessary equipment for safe racing including abrasion resistant driver suits, Snell rated helmets and neck braces. As driver suits go on directly over street clothing, skirts and dresses are not recommended apparel for racing events. All other apparel is fine including shorts during the summer months, and guests are welcome to dress for comfort. Shirts and shoes are required at all times while guests are attending events within the building.
Guests may bring in their own equipment if it meets or exceeds CIR Standards.

Zero Tolerance Policy
Chicago Indoor Racing does not allow drivers who have consumed alcohol or drugs prior to racing to participate; "8 hours bottle to throttle". CIR reserves the right to refuse to book any guest into a race that is suspected of consuming drugs or alcohol prior to entering the building.
Each person, when entering the building, will have a wristband put on their right wrist by a receptionist. This wristband is used to decipher those customers who have not been served an alcoholic beverage. Any guest suspected of being under the influence will be permitted to take a breathalyzer exam and must pass with a 0.00 to be given a wristband for racing. Anyone failing, or refusing to take the test, will not be permitted to race. As soon as a customer receives an alcoholic beverage, the wristband will be cut off and only persons with a wristband on their right wrist will be permitted to race.
